Two people who were taken into custody early this morning following a disturbance at a Manitowoc hotel appeared for bail hearings this (yesterday) afternoon.
45-year-old Jason L. Olson is free on $2000 recognizance on charges of Battery and Strangulation or Suffocation each with Domestic Violence Enhancers while 40-year-old Christina M. Busse of Manitowoc is free on $150 recognizance on a charge of Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Violence Enhancer. Olson didn’t provide an address to the court.
Police were called to the Harbor Town Inn just after 1 a.m. with a report of a naked woman running out of her room after allegedly attacking a man with a knife. Busse told officers that she and Olson had gotten into an argument reportedly striking and choking her to a point of passing out after turning off the TV in their room.
Olson claimed he had to take Busse to the ground to protect her from herself saying she held the knife to her throat. Authorities determined that both individuals had suffered injuries consistent with a possible altercation and were taken into custody without incident. The lone condition of Bail is that both defendants have “no contact” with each other.
Olson’s initial appearance is scheduled for August 2nd while Busse is due back in court for her initial appearance on August 5th.
