Emergency responders say they had to cut the roof off a wrecked minivan to rescue a woman and her child Wednesday morning.
No names were released, but both victims were taken to a hospital.
The woman is reported to be in serious, but stable condition.
The accident happened at about 10:25 a-m as she was driving on U-S Highway 151 in the Town of Bristol.
She lost control and the minivan rolled several times, ending up in the river.
Water was pouring into the minivan, but rescuers were able to get both of them out.
Sun Prairie Fire and Rescue and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office responded.
