Three suspects involved in an attempted Armed Robbery in Valders earlier this month have been located with two facing multiple charges.
Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig says 22-year-old Hunter Steiner of New Holstein turned himself in at the County Jail and was held on arrest warrants for Attempted Armed Robbery, Burglary, Armed with a Dangerous Weapon, Aggravated Battery, Possession of Burglarious Tools and Bail Jumping.
23-year-old Chase Wagoner of Glenbeulah was arrested in Grand Rapids, Michigan, yesterday. Investigators are referring charges of Attempted Armed Robbery, Burglary, Armed with a Dangerous Weapon, Aggravated Battery and Possession of Burglarious Tools while 21-year-old Brayton Zimmerman from Mount Calvary was located by deputies last week in Fond Du Lac County. He was released and has yet to be charged pending a further investigation.
Sheriff’s Deputies and EMS personnel responded to a location in the 400 block of Christel Drive about 11:30 the night of July 7, 2021, for a possible armed robbery. A preliminary investigation revealed that three men entered an apartment and assaulted the two male occupants with firearms and a crowbar. Both victims were transported via ambulance to Holy Family Memorial Medical Center for treatment of their injuries.
The severity of the victim’s injuries or identities has not been released. No one else was reported injured. Steiner remains in the County Jail while Wagoner is being held at the Kent County Jail in Grand Rapids pending extradition back to Wisconsin.
