Prosecutors say they expect to file more charges against Chandler Halderson in his father’s murder and mother’s disappearance.
Authorities say they found a portion of human remains Wednesday near the Wisconsin River just outside the Town of Roxbury.
A witness reports seeing the son in that area Saturday a couple of days before his father’s remains were found in rural Cottage Grove.
Bail was set at $1 million during a Thursday hearing.
Halderson reported his parents missing two weeks ago.
