The trial starts this morning (July 19th) for a man charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide for a 1976 crime.
A jury has been selected and testimony will be offered against 84-year-old Raymand Vannieuwenhoven.
Prosecutors say he killed 25-year-old David Schuldes and 24-year-old Ellen Matheys at McClintock Park in the Town of Silver Cliff 45 years ago.
The killings remained unsolved for decades until D-N-A evidence was used to connect Vannieuwenhoven to the crime.
