A two-run double by Kansas City shortstop Nicky Lopez broke a 3-3 tie and the Royals went on to win 6-3 Wednesday (July 21st).
That completed a sweep of the two-game series by the last-place Royals at the home of the first-place Milwaukee Brewers.
Milwaukee was rolling after a three-game sweep of the Reds when Kansas City came to town but couldn’t hold on to the momentum.
The Royals have won all four meetings between the two teams this season.
Lefty Eric Lauer took the loss despite giving up only two unearned runs in five innings.
The Brewers are off today, play host to the Chicago White Sox starting Friday.
