The Manitowoc Bandits Baseball team rallied to defeat the Denmark Devil Bears 7-to-6 last night (July 21st) at Municipal Field, and in doing so, Coach Chris Cisler’s squad wrapped up the regular-season title in the Shoreland League for the 3rd straight year.
The Bandits trailed 6-0 going into the bottom of the 7th when they plated 6-runs to tie it, and then scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 8th to win it.
Chris Casper went 3-for-4 and scored the go-ahead run while Jake Woolsey added 2-hits.
Dylan Knoepsel earned the victory in relief by pitching 2-and-2-third hitless innings and registering a pair of strikeouts.
Manitowoc travels to Casco Friday night at 7:30 for the regular-season finale.
