The Green Bay Packers are taking the first steps toward making their quarterback happy by trading for wide receiver Randall Cobb.
The N-F-L Network is reporting the Packers will send a sixth-round draft pick to the Houston Texans to bring Cobb back to Green Bay.
The Texans agreed to pay $3 million of Cobb’s 2021 salary to make the deal work.
Cobb played his first eight N-F-L seasons with Rodgers and the Packers.
He has been one of the most dangerous slot receivers in the league.
Among the things Rodgers wanted if he was to return to the team was to have more say in the Packers’ personnel decisions.
