The De Pere High School football team excelled in all 3-phases last night during a 56-to-6 victory over visiting Manitowoc Lincoln.
The Redbirds (now 1-and-1) raced out to a 28-nothing 1st half lead before the Shipbuilders (0-and-2) got on the board with a 1-yard plunge by Brett Prange, with only 13-seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter.
De Pere junior quarterback Gabe Herman enjoyed a banner night with 4-touchdown passes to go along with a 53-yard scoring run.
The Redbirds also reached the endzone on special teams with a 60-yard punt return.
De Pere racked up 342-yards in total offense, compared to 173 for the Ships.
Prange and Gavin Lettenberger rushed for 57-and-55-yards, respectively in a losing effort while wide receiver Ben Wollersheim had 3-catches for 54-yards.
Lincoln is on the road again next Friday night at Sheboygan South.
