Born January 19, 1945, in Manitowoc Wisconsin, Michael left this earth on August 25, 2021 in King, Wisconsin at the age of 76.
He is survived by three brothers; Joseph, James, Mark (Cheryl) Dempsky, along with nieces and nephews. Michael is also survived by his step daughter Shirley (Bob) Jentsch, step grandchildren, and a very close friend Michele Kemper of Montana.
He married Dorothy (Chupita) Korinek on January 19, 1981 in Brighton, Colorado.
Preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Korinek) Dempsky of Northglenn Colorado, his mother and father Dorothy M. (Kattner) and Chester A. Dempsky of Manitowoc Wisconsin, sister-in-laws Audrey (Stransky) Dempsky of Denmark Wisconsin and June (Vincent) Dempsky of Perth Australia, step son Donald Korinek of South Dakota and step grandson Heath Korinek of Manitowoc Wisconsin.
Michael graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc Wisconsin 1963 and worked for Fricke Block prior to joining the United States Army in 1966. He served three years in the army as a Financial Specialist in Bremerhaven Germany, after which he returned to Manitowoc, furthering his passion
for baking by receiving his Master Baking Degree. Michael was known for excellent service and taking great pride in his accomplishments as a baker retiring after 35 years in 2008.
Both his wife Dorothy and he enjoyed the outdoors, traveling into the mountains of Colorado where they had property. After his wife’s death, Michael traveled throughout the United States and Columbia in South America. He made a humanitarian trip to the country of Bosnia during their civil war and three humanitarian trips to Mexico with various church groups.
When you look to the mountains, see the streams, reflect on the trees, think of Dorothy and Michael, as that is where their spirits are.
A visitation for Michael will be on September 6th, 2021 at 10:30 a.m., followed by memorial services at 11:30 a.m at Olinger Highland Mortuary & Cemetery at 10201, Grant St., Thornton, CO 80229.
