Bail is set at $150 cash for a 22-year-old male suspect who allegedly threatened to kill his girlfriend and her children.
Davonte K. Harvala is charged with Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Violence Enhancer with possible additional charges forthcoming.
Manitowoc Police Officers were dispatched on Sunday to a residence in the 1100 block of South 11th Street after a woman called to say that he (Harvala) was going to break the window.
She told authorities that they got into an argument that resulted in Harvala threatening her family and proceeded to gain entrance into the home by breaking two doors.
Harvala left before police arrived but was later apprehended on Lake Street and taken into custody.
He allegedly said “Do you think 72 hours will keep them safe?” in reference to an automatic 72-hour no-contact order which is automatically issued in a Domestic Violence case.
Conditions of bail are that Harvala has no contact with the victim and her family and provides a valid address to the court within 24 hours of release.
He remains in the County Jail at last word with an initial appearance scheduled for September 30th at 10:30.
