Lorraine M. Krcma, age 82, longtime town of Gibson resident, passed away peacefully at home Saturday morning, September 25, 2021.
Lorraine was born in Mishicot on January 12, 1939 to Wilbur and Lorraine (Jost) Funk, Sr. and has been a lifelong area resident. She graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1956 and on June 20, 1959 married Joseph P. Krcma, Sr. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. Joe preceded her in death on December 9, 1993. Lorraine worked for a short time at Mirro Aluminum Company and then worked side-by-side with her husband Joe, running the family farm until his passing. Lorraine loved to work in her yard & garden; she and Joe enjoyed many years of couples bowling; she loved to play cards, especially sheepshead; and she enjoyed listening to polka music and attended many polka dances over the years. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s/St. Isidore the Farmer Parish in Tisch Mills where she served on the church council; was a member of the Rosary Society; and longtime kitchen chair-person, organizing many funeral dinners over the years. Lorraine also volunteered for many years working at the polls on election day. She loved to shop; and will be remembered as a great baker and cook, making The Best home cooked meals and desserts; and will also be remembered for her love of Cardinals. Above all, she enjoyed the time spent with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Laurie (Francis) Schweiner of Kewaunee, Lawrence Krcma of Galveston, TX, Tony (Marie) Krcma of Denmark, Joseph (Lori) Krcma, Jr. of Maribel, Sharon (William) Butzer of Maribel, Kathryn (Brian) Christensen of Tisch Mills, and Mary (Allan) Goessl of Appleton; son-in-law, Tim Stedl of Maribel; twenty grandchildren: Ryan Schweiner, Amanda (Christopher) Gulvik, Angela Schweiner (fiance, Tony); Phillip (Andrea), Nathan, Nicholas, and Kyle Krcma; Zachary and Kendra Krcma; Kelly Butzer, Thomas Butzer (fiance, Sarah), Jennifer Butzer (special friend, Logan); Lucy, Sophie, and Sam Stedl; Jessica, Cody, and Cassandra Christensen; Garrett and Bennett Goessl; one great-grandson, Andrew Gulvik; and an additional great grandchild expected in March. She is further survived by her brothers and sisters: Dorothy (Ronnie) Morreau, David (Peggy) Funk, Mark Funk and Sharon, all of Mishicot, Wilbur Funk, Jr. of Denmark, Lucille Jossart of Green Bay, and Diane Blattler of Two Creeks; her special friend, Norbert Matuszak of Green Bay; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Margie Luckow, Carol Krcma, and Lorraine Kochan, all of Manitowoc, Kay Krema of Illinois, Clara Krcma of Denmark, Kathy (Frank) Zeman of Mishicot; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Lorraine Funk, Sr.; her husband, Joseph Krcma, Sr.; one daughter, Jolene Stedl; one grandson, Maxwell Stedl; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Emily Krcma; brother-in-law, Kenneth Jossart; sister-in-law, Cindy Funk; and several other brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021 at St. Isidore the Farmer Catholic Church, Tisch Mills. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Dennis Drury, with burial to follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home, 344 S. State Street, Mishicot Wednesday evening, September 29th from 4:30 until 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday morning at the church from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m.
