UPDATE Tuesday 4:41 PM: Mr. Witting has been found safe, and the Silvert Alert is canceled.
A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 78-year-old man who walked away from a caregiver facility in Manitowoc late this morning.
The man identified as George F. Witting is described as white, standing 5’7″ tall, weighing 140 pounds with short brown hair and blue eyes. Witting was last seen wearing a navy blue or black long sleeve shirt with light green pants, black/gray tennis shoes and is described as having a small blood blister under his right eye.
Authorities say he is believed to have dementia or some other cognitive impairment and was last seen on Meadow Lane at 10:30 AM this morning.
