A 50-year old woman was found in the waters of Lake Michigan, near Algoma, Friday and was said to be suffering from hypothermia.
The female subject, who was not identified by Kewaunee County authorities, was found about 10:15am by area fishermen, about a quarter mile from shore.
She was transported by those individuals to the Algoma Harbor where she was attended to by Algoma Rescue and taken to Door County Medical Center. Sheriff Matt Joski explained units from his office and the city of Algoma Police Department responded along with the Department of Public Works to check the shoreline and adjacent areas for any vessels or other people involved.
