The WIAA Subsectional Girls Tennis Tournament was staged yesterday at the Sports Core in Kohler.
Two Ships flights advanced to Thursday’s Sectional meet, also at Kohler, with opening-round victories.
Olivia Minikel did not lose a game in her straight-set win while teammates McKenna Pleus and Hannah Dvorak won their match 7-5, 6-3 over the Roncalli/Two Rivers combination of Erin Schermetzler and Ashlyn Dellemann.
Appleton North & Kimberly lead the team standings with 22-points apiece. De Pere is 3rd with 14 and Manitowoc Lincoln & Appleton West are tied with 4 points heading into the Sectional round.
