Bail is set at $9,000 cash for a 24-year-old Two Rivers man facing multiple charges in connection to an intense altercation with a woman Thursday morning on Manitowoc’s Southside.
Tivon Diego-Jamal Wells is charged with Battery, Attempted Strangulation, Disorderly Conduct, and two counts of Criminal Damage to Property all with Domestic Violence Enhancers as well as knowingly Violating a Domestic Abuse Order, Intimidating a Witness, Resisting an Officer, Second Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety, and six counts of Felony Bail Jumping.
Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1300 block of South 12th Street where the victim said the perpetrator was in her apartment after she returned from grocery shopping demanding that she drop all previously filed Domestic Abuse charges against him.
He also allegedly held a knife to her throat, strangled her with a power cord, threw a child seat, with a child in it, onto a bed, and threatened to kill the woman.
The child wasn’t hurt but the victim suffered injuries.
The victim texted 911 after Diego-Jamal Wells returned upon the officer leaving.
He was found hiding under the kitchen sink and was forced out with pepper spray and taken into custody without further incident.
The lone condition of bail is that Diego Jamal Wells have no contact with the victims.
He remains in the County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for October 18th at 1:30.
