In Girls Volleyball yesterday, the WIAA Division-3 Regional Tournament kicked off.
In Division 3, the #2 seed Manitowoc Lutheran won 3-games over Roncalli (25-16, 25-16, and 25-20.) The Lancers advance to play host to Algoma in the Regional semifinals tomorrow night.
Also, Valders needed 4-games to defeat Mishicot (25-19, 12-25, 27-25, and 25-16.) The Vikings will now host Sheboygan Area Lutheran Thursday.
Other matches of local interest saw Reedsville sweep Cedar Grove-Belgium as the Panthers earn a berth against top-seeded Howards Grove, while Brillion ousted New Holstein in a 4-game match. The Lions advance to play at #3 Oostburg.
In Division-2, Two Rivers was a 3-0 winner over visiting Wrightstown. 26-24, 25-23, and 25-17. The Raiders advance to the semifinals where they’ll meet #2 seed Fox Valley Lutheran tomorrow (Thursday) night.
Also, Seymour swept Kiel in 3-games, Notre Dame blanked Chilton, Plymouth dominated Carmen Northwest of Milwaukee, and, Sheboygan Falls swept Shorewood.
