A 37-year-old Sturgeon Bay man arrested earlier this week in Manitowoc on two counts of Criminal Damage to Property returned to court yesterday to face three additional charges.
Court Commissioner Patricia Koppa set bail at $3000 cash for Heiden Paul Hippert who has also been charged with Retail Theft after allegedly stealing a bottle of tequila from Northshore Liquor.
Video Surveillance confirmed Hippert vandalizing Angelus Senior Center, Painting Pathways, the BayCare Clinic, and the Probation/Parole Building along with smashing windows of some vehicles owned by the State Department of Corrections.
When apprehended by law enforcement in Two Rivers he described himself as a transient but refused to speak about a motive for committing these alleged crimes.
Conditions of Bail are that Hippert has no contact with any of the victims and maintains absolute sobriety.
He remains in The County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for next Monday at 1:30.
Bail was set Tuesday on the original charges at $300 cash and he’s due back in court for a bail hearing on those original charges on November 4th at 10:30 AM.
