The Big East Conference has announced its’ 2021 all-league Football selections.
Reedsville, which finished in a 3-way tie for the conference championship with Hilbert and Cedar Grove-Belgium, has a total of 7 first-team picks on offense and defense.
The Panthers were led by senior Cole Ebert who was a two-way choice at defensive tackle and tight end/fullback.
He was joined by teammates Adler Strenn and Jade Busse in the offensive line and defensive backs Weston Liebzeit and Brennen Dvorachek.
Second-team all-conference picks included Manitowoc Lutheran end Casey Stanzel and Lancers defensive back August Hecker, along with Reedsville offensive linemen Dain Totten and Darren Wagner, running back Weston Liebzeit, and quarterback Brennen Dvorachek.
All-Conference Honorable Mention selections from Lutheran High are Trayce Hacker and Ethan Menges while Reedsville players earning that status include Gavin Totten, Ryan Taddy, Camden Dvorachek, and Darren Wagner.
Cole Ebert of the Panthers & Hilbert’s Reed Breckheimer shared Defensive Player of the Year honors, while Breckheimer and Logan Arrowood of Cedar Grove-Belgium are Offensive Co-Player of the Year.
Aaron Frederick of Reedsville was chosen Coach-of-the-Year while Erik Stumo of Hilbert was recognized as Assistant Coach of the Year.
The Panthers will take a 10-and-1 record into Saturday’s WIAA Level-3 football game against Black Hawk/Warren, Illinois. The D-7 contest is set for 1:00 PM in Reedsville.
