Fall has fully arrived in Wisconsin and with it comes the end of daylight-saving time.
As you change the clocks back an hour this weekend, ReadyWisconsin encourages you to use some of your extra time to check the carbon monoxide detectors and smoke alarms in your home, while also making sure your home emergency kit is ready for the upcoming winter.
Clocks officially fall back at 2:00 AM on Sunday.
Wisconsin Emergency Management Acting Administrator Greg Engle said that “Spending just a few minutes this weekend to make sure those devices are working properly and have fresh batteries could end up saving the life of you and your loved ones.”
