Reedsville travels to Ripon tonight to tangle with the Cashton Eagles looking to advance to the first-ever State Football title tilt while Cashton is looking to get back to Madison for just the second time having won it all back in 1981.
The Panthers are led by senior quarterback Brennen Dvoracheck who’s accounted for over 2,500 yards of total offense and 39 touchdowns.
They also have many complementary parts to their potent offense.
Seniors Wes Leibzeit and Cole Ebert have combined for 18 touchdowns while defensively the Panthers get after the quarterback with junior Ryan Taddy accounting for three sacks in their 30 to 12 victory over Black Hawk/Warren Illinois last week.
The Eagles out of the Scenic Bluff Conference come into tonight with a record of 10 and 2 and built similar to the Panthers Junior running back Colin o’ Neil has rushed for over 1300 yards behind a big, physical offensive line and a stingy defense that allowed just six points in last week’s quarterfinal win over Potosi/Cassville.
Both Head Coaches, Aaron Fredric of Reedsville and Jered Hemmersbach of Cashton agree that the team that runs the ball better, can stop the run and not turn the ball over will win the game.
Kickoff is at 7 p.m. with coverage beginning at 6:30 on 97.1 FM and AM 980 WCUB and www.CubRadio.com.
