There was plenty of High School Basketball Holiday Tournament action last night. Beginning with action at the Rick Majerus WBY Shootout in Mequon, Roncalli edged Mineral Point 70-65, Living World Lutheran took care of Manitowoc Lutheran 72-63, and Xavier had little trouble with The Prairie School, winning 83-69. In the Sun Drop Shootout at the Kress Center in Green Bay, Valders beat Wrightstown 70-59, New Holstein snuck past Freedom 42-37, and Nore Dame topped Superior, 62-48. In the Cuba City Holiday Tournament, Richland Center beat Mishicot 58-45, while Sheboygan North picked up a win in their Holiday Tournament over Green Bay East 71-47.The Dogeland Classic saw Palmyra-Eagle topple Green Bay Preble 52-49. Elsewhere, Plymouth topped Kiel 66-50, and Kholer came out on top against Kewaunee 78-65.
In girls action, there were a couple of blowouts in the Big East/EWC Challenge. Manitowoc Lutheran had no trouble toppling Two Rivers, 66-26, while Roncalli blew past Reedsville 54-15. At the SunDrop Shootout, Wrightstown edged Valders 59-44. In the lone FRCC matchup, Bay Port handled De Pere, 64-39. There were seven non-conference matchups as well. Manitowoc Lincoln snuck by Menasha 73-83, Kiel topped Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, 61-43, Chilton boasted a 2 point victory over Sturgeon Bay 38-36, Kohler hasd little trouble with Montello 72-50, Sheboygan Lutheran edged Lake Country Lutheran 72-50, DeForrest came up just short against Green Bay Southwest 56-50, and Notre Dame beat Hortonvillw 66-55.
