Reedsville has earned its first WIAA sportsmanship award in recognition of its positive support for The Panthers at the State Football Championships last month at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.
They captured their first football State Championship in program history defeating the Coleman Cougars 17 to 0 in the Division Seven Title game.
Meanwhile, Oostburg is the recipient of the honor in Boys Soccer with its display of sportsmanship at the WIAA State Boys’ Soccer Tournament in Milwaukee.
The Flying Dutchmen finished runner up to Big East Conference member Sheboygan Christian/Lutheran in the Division Four Championship match.
Neenah receives the Award in Girls’ Tennis, McFarland is the recipient of the WIAA Sportsmanship award in Girls’ Volleyball while the Sheboygan/Christian and Luxemburg/Casco receive Honorable Mention recognition in Boys’ Soccer and Girls’ Volleyball respectively.
Award winners receive a trophy and banner in recognition of the honor and schools receiving Honorable Mention are acknowledged with a certificate of recognition.
