The Appleton Airport is going to get much busier soon.
The administration at the airport has announced that they have been awarded a $3 million U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Infrastructure Grant, which will go toward the enhancement of their commercial aviation ramp.
Airport Director Abe Weber stated in the announcement that “this federal funding will allow us to improve the size and safety of the ramp, so we can service larger aircraft.”
The Appleton Airport is one of 3,000 nationwide to receive grant money from Washington for infrastructure projects.
