Bail is set at $50,000 cash for a 32-year-old Chicago man accused with robbing the Manitowoc Boost Mobile Store last week.
Alex Goines Junior is charged with Robbery by use of a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of cocaine with intent to deliver while armed and 3 counts of a Felon in Possession of a firearm.
Manitowoc Police responded to a call of a robbery at the Manitowoc business in the 1200 block of Washington Street late last Thursday afternoon. It was determined that Goines showed up brandishing a handgun, demanding that an employee and a customer go into a room filled with merchandise. Goines proceeded to steal several iPhones and got away with an undetermined amount of cash before fleeing on foot.
A successful search warrant was executed Monday afternoon at a southside residence that uncovered merchandise stolen from the Boost Mobile store, a handgun along with large quantities of cash and base cocaine that was packaged for sale.
Conditions of bail are that Goines is not to possess any weapons or have any contact with the victims or Boost Mobile. He remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for January 110th at 1:30 PM
