A 26-year-old Manitowoc scheduled to appear for a bail hearing this afternoon, had it rescheduled for tomorrow.
Kyle A. Mesna is charged with Possession of methamphetamine with intent to Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Obstructing An Officer.
A Manitowoc Police Officer was on patrol late Wednesday night in the 800 block of South 24thStreet when he saw a vehicle leave a residence known to be associated with drugs. The driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of South 21stand Washington prompting a traffic stop.
The police report noted that the passenger (Mesna) was acting suspicious and gave a false identity.
After a positive hit for drugs was given by K-9 Major, Mesna and his backpack were searched with officers discovering nearly 14 grams of meth, several items of drug paraphernalia, and a set of brass knuckles.
He is scheduled to appear at 12:45 p.m.
