A 26-year-old Manitowoc man, facing multiple charges in connection to an incident this week on the city’s southside, has had his bail hearing postponed a second time.
The County Clerk of Courts Office says that Kyle A. Mesna is now scheduled to appear this Tuesday On charges of Possession of methamphetamine with intent to Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Obstructing an Officer.
A Manitowoc Police Officer was on patrol late Wednesday night in the 800 block of South 24th Street when he saw a vehicle leave a residence, known to be associated with drugs. The driver failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of South 21st and Washington prompting a traffic stop.
The police report noted that the passenger (Mesna) was acting suspicious and gave a false identity. After a positive hit for drugs was given by K-9 Major, Mesna and his backpack were searched with officers discovering nearly 14 grams of meth, several items of drug paraphernalia and a set of brass knuckles.
He remains in the County Jail and is scheduled to appear January 18th at 12:45 p.m.
