A 16-year-old female from rural Two Rivers suffered “non-life threatening” injuries following a single motor vehicle crash in Mishicot Township this morning.
Operations Division Major Jason Orth of the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department says a preliminary investigation indicates that the young driver was operating her vehicle westbound on County Highway V around 7:15 a.m. when she proceeded into the north ditch, colliding with a utility pole that broke off near the base.
Her vehicle overturned finally coming to rest approximately 30 yards into a field.
She was transported via Mishicot Area Ambulance to Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
Power outages were reported throughout the area, which have been mostly restored. The accident remains under investigation.
Assisting on scene were Mishicot Area Ambulance, Police and Fire, The Manitowoc County Joint Dispatch Center, Wisconsin Public Service and PK’s Auto.
