Everyone knows about Wisconsin’s dairy industry, but many don’t realize that our state also has a thriving maple industry as well.
In fact, Wisconsin only sits behind Vermont, New York, and Maine in terms of maple syrup production.
The Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center will be highlighting the industry in March alongside the Wisconsin Maple Syrup Producers Association.
Their second annual Maple Days will take place on March 11th and 12th, where guests will be able to learn about local syrup producers and take advantage of hands-on opportunities to learn about Wisconsin’s maple industry.
Three local and area producers will be on hand, including Manitowoc based Inthewoods Sugar Bush, Maple Sweet Dairy out of De Pere, and Plymouth’s East Ridge Villa.
