The Manitowoc County Health Department is making an effort to increase accessibility for members of the community to get a COVID-19 vaccination.
Their efforts include both primary vaccinations as well as boosters.
A third shot is recommended for those who received their two primary Moderna or Pfizer shots over five months ago, while a booster is recommended for those who received a Johnson & Johnson shot more than two months ago.
Beginning March 4, the health department will have Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine available on Fridays from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m for anyone ages 12 and older. Walk-ins and appointments are both welcome.
The clinic will be held at the Manitowoc County Health Department at 1028 S. 9th Street.
Mobile vaccine clinics will also be deployed at community or employer sites, as will solutions for Manitowoc residents who are homebound and in-need of a vaccine. For more information about these options, contact the health department at (920) 683-4155.
