The man accused of starting the fire at Butch’s Bar that killed two people will remain in the County Jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
A judge denied a request from the defense team to lower the bond to a $50,000 signature, as they say, Anthony Gonzalez is not a flight risk.
Gonzalez has been charged with two counts of Second-Degree Reckless Homicide, five counts of Second-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and one count of Negligent Handling of Burning Material.
He told police he accidentally spilled butane on his mattress, and it ignited when he struck a match to light a cigarette.
If convicted, Gonzalez could spend the rest of his life in prison.
