UW Green Bay will be honoring UW System President Tommy Thompson this week.
The former Governor will be making his final stop at the campus tomorrow afternoon.
Upon his arrival, Thompson will be visiting UW-Green Bay’s new eSports Lab and will also be a part of a casual meeting with faculty, staff, and students at the Common Grounds Coffee House in the University Union.
This will be followed by a formal ceremony from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., where UWGB will honor Thompson’s advocacy program.
UW-Green Bay Chancellor Michael Alexander spoke highly of Thompson, saying in a news release, “His belief and energy behind the importance of the expanded Wisconsin Idea drives us forward. We are grateful for all he has done to support us at UW-Green Bay.”
