A 53-year-old Eau Claire man has been sentenced to three years’ probation for his part in the January 6th riot at the U-S Capitol.
Kevin Loftus appeared at a Tuesday hearing by teleconference.
Loftus will also be required to pay $500 restitution toward the estimated $1.5 million in damage done to the Capitol building.
Loftus was sentenced by a federal judge in the District of Columbia.
Prosecutors told the court he was identified by using a photograph taken of him while he was inside the Capitol.
