Bail is set at $1000 recognizance for a 19-year-old Manitowoc woman after allegedly cutting a man with a kitchen knife during an argument over the weekend.
Jania A. January is charged with Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Violence Enhancer, Delivering Articles to an Inmate and Felony Bail Jumping.
Officers from the Manitowoc Police Department responded to a family trouble call Saturday morning at a residence in the 1000 block of South 12th Street.
Upon arrival, they saw two individuals outside, with the male victim showing them a wound he had received.
Both admitted getting into a verbal agreement with the victim stating that he felt she was going to stab him.
As he reached for the knife, he was cut with January saying that she was simply pulling the knife away and had no intention of cutting him.
Authorities also found marijuana on January’s person while being booked into the County Jail, resulting in the Delivering Articles to an Inmate charge.
The lone condition of bail is that January have no contact with the victim, with the exception of a third party to arrange childcare.
She is due back in court for an initial appearance on April 4th at 1:30.
