A 24-year-old Manitowoc woman is free on $500 cash bail after allegedly forging an invoice from an attorney.
Taliyah N. Jackson is charged with Unauthorized Use of an Individual’s Personal Identifying Information of Documents, Theft By Fraud, and one count each of Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
Manitowoc Police stated that they were contacted by an attorney last month, stating that he was contacted by a woman that had been in contact with Jackson for several months regarding guardianship of Jackson’s children.
Eventually, Jackson sent the victim an invoice with the attorney’s name on it for $1,705.
She gave Jackson the money, with the understanding she’d give the money to the attorney.
The lone condition of bail is that Jackson have no contact with the victims.
Meanwhile, she’s also facing charges in a separate case for allowedly stealing money from the Manitowoc Taco Bell.
Charges in that case include Theft By Virtue of Employment and a count each of Felony and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
Bail was set at $100 cash which has been posted with the condition that she have no contact with the Manitowoc Taco Bell.
Initial appearances in both matters are set for April 4th at 1:30.
