Former Badgers star Cole Caufield has been named the NHL Rookie of the Month for March.
Caufield led all rookies with seven goals and 15 points for the Montreal Canadiens. He also had three power-play goals, five power-play assists, and eight power-play points in 15 games.
The 21-year-old right winger didn’t slow down when April arrived scoring a goal against Tampa Bay in a 5-4 win.
Caufield had 15 goals and 19 assists in 54 games during his first complete NHL season.
He scored 30 goals in 31 games as a senior at Wisconsin in the 2020-2021 campaign.
