Bail is set at $2,000 cash for a 37-year-old Beaver Dam man involved in a weekend standoff with police.
Andy J. Gerow is facing charges of Resisting an Officer, Disorderly Conduct and three counts of Felony Bail Jumping as well as two Felony Counts of Bail Jumping in a separate matter, which also occurred over the weekend.
Police were called to the Manitowoc Walmart Friday evening to arrest Gerow on several outstanding warrants. He fled the scene, eventually ending up outside his mother’s home near the intersection of Menasha Avenue and Rapids Road.
She called the police and they located him in the back of his van. After several unsuccessful attempts to lure Gerow out, he surrendered after officers threatened to send in K-9 Officer Neko.
He was taken into custody without further incident.
Conditions of bail are that Gerow have “no contact” with his mother or her residence, he’s not to operate a motor vehicle and maintain “absolute sobriety.”
He remains in the County Jail with an initial appearance scheduled for April 18 at 1:30 p.m.
