Voters in the 27th Assembly District will have to select a new representative in November.
Assemblyman Tyler Vorpagel has announced that he will not be running for a fifth term in office.
Vorpagel was first elected to the office in 2014 and has held the office ever since.
In his announcement, Vorpagel said “It has been an honor and a truly humbling experience to have earned the trust and support of my friends and neighbors and represent my hometown in the State Legislature these past 7 plus years,” but that it was “time to move on with the next chapter of my life.”
The 27th Assembly District covers the northeast corner of Sheboygan County and the southern portion of Manitowoc County.
