The Wisconsin Legislature is going to have several new faces next year.
With two state representatives announcing they won’t seek reelection Tuesday, there are now 19 state lawmakers who won’t be back.
Mukwonago Republican Cody Horlacher is leaving to run for a judgeship in Waukesha County Circuit Court, and New Berlin Republican Joe Sanfelippo says he is stepping away because he’s frustrated the Legislature hasn’t done enough to hold state election officials accountable for what he considers to be illegal decisions in the November 2020 election.
Local Assemblyman Tyler Vorpagel has also announced he will not run for a 5th term in November.
