The Packers have signed veteran wide receiver Sammy Watkins to a one-year deal.
That’s the first step toward rebuilding the team’s receiving corps after losing Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
Watkins will be paid $4 million after spening last season with the Baltimore Ravens, catching 27 passes for 394 yards and one touchdown in 13 games.
The year before that won a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs.
Watkins gives Green Bay an outside speed threat.
He will be in his ninth NFL season.
The Packers are still expected to draft a wide receiver and one more trade is possible.
