The State of Wisconsin is high on the list when it comes to drunk driving rates.
According to a study conducted by Zutobi, Wisconsin has the 8th highest rate of DUI in the Country.
The online resource comprised the list by calculating the number of DUI arrests and related crashes per 100,000 drivers, the number of DUI fatalities, and the percentage of traffic fatalities caused by alcohol-impaired drivers.
They reported that Wisconsin has 466.5 drivers per 100,000 that have been hit with a DUI, and 4.8 crashes.
A total of 210 fatal crashes were reported in the state last year, with 14.7% of them being DUI-related, giving Wisconsin a DUI severity score of 56.4.
Montana was ranked the worst state for drunk drivers, earning a severity score of 84.1, while Alabama was deemed the safest state.
