A school teacher in Sheboygan has been honored with the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellowship.
As a part of the Fellowship, Language Arts instructor Addie Degenhardt will receive a $6,000 grant, as will Etude Schools where she teaches.
The Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Fellowship honors middle and high school teachers who go above and beyond to inspire their students and motivate them.
They must also serve their community both in and out of the classroom.
Degenhardt was nominated by one of her students, senior Elise DuChateu.
Degenhardt has stated that she plans on sharing the award with her students by funding an educational field trip.
