The Crossing of Manitowoc County had a ribbon-cutting late yesterday afternoon at their new location 501 N. 10th Street, in the former Orthopaedics and Associates building.
Executive Director Belinda Esquinas tells Seehafer News they’re loving the new place which includes a boutique and a pantry.
“This building is enabling us to continue our mission but also expand in the ways in which we serve our clients,” she said. “So with that we’ve been able to have a better flow for our programs, we have enhanced security and have increased confidentiality. It also allows us more space so we can have more clients come in for visits.”
Esquinas explains their vision at The Crossing is “to have a healthy family for every child. The way we do that is by providing emotional, educational, material, and spiritual support to families, empowering them to become strong and resilient. We focus on the well-being of children through educating the parents and we provide free services to strengthen families from all walks of life.”
Their website is www.crossingmanitowoc.org or you can call them at 920-973-4357.
Belinda Esquinas also said tours are available to show the general public what they’re doing.
She added that way you can see the beautiful space, the colorful mural in their Early Literacy Room and continue to engage the community in serving those in need.
Simply put Belinda said, “We want to be the village that it takes to raise a child.”
