“It’s just been an honor to serve the people in the 25th Assembly District over the past 10 years and I have some work to continue.”
With that, Republican Paul Tittl of Manitowoc has announced he’s officially running for a sixth two-year term to represent the 25th Assembly District in Madison.
“The one thing that I really have enjoyed is working on mental health issues,” he explained. “It one the things that I have found a passion for in the Assembly. and I really want to get more mental health services for the people of Wisconsin.”
Tittl was first elected to the state Assembly in 2012 with what he says was the “sole intent of serving his constituents in Madison by cutting through the proverbial, political red tape.”
Tittl went on to say, “The biggest thing is going knocking on doors, going to meetings, going to festivals and talking to people and learning about what their needs are. Just the other day I got an oil change, a guy thanked me as we helped him with his unemployment issues. I think that’s most satisfying thing is that if we help people and be the person that cuts through the red tape in Madison, I think that’s probably one of the greatest aspects of my job.”
The 25th Assembly District will look a bit different in 2023, as Hilbert and Maple Grove leave while gaining several municipalities including Francis Creek and The Village of Cleveland Nomination papers must be turned in by June 1st.
A primary, if necessary, would be held on August 9th and The General Mid-term election is on November 8th.
