An initial appearance scheduled to be held this week for a teacher in the Two Rivers School District has been rescheduled for June 6th.
No official reason was given; however, court records indicate that the defense for Rebecca Kilps seeks to have a bail condition of having “no contact” with anyone under the age of 18 modified so she can see her young son.
The 34-year-old Manitowoc woman is accused of having sexual contact with a 17-year-old student.
Kilps was arrested May 24th and is charged with three counts of Sexual Assault of a Child by A School Instructional Staff Person.
Two Rivers Police say that they had received information about a teacher (KILPS) had engaged in sexual contact with a student and initiated an investigation which led to her arrest
She remains free on $10,000 cash bail.
