Kiel Police Chief Dave Funkhouser has addressed the residents of his city as threats continue to come in.
The most recent threat was essentially targeting the entire city, including all schools, public buildings, roads, and even businesses.
The suspect claims that if the sexual harassment charges against the three middle school students are not dropped by tomorrow, all of these places will be attacked.
Many people have voiced their concerns and questioned why it is taking so long to find the culprit.
Chief Funkhouser explained, “It is important to remember investigations take time – this is real life, not a television show. The same technology used to hunt down people making threats can also be used to conceal their identity and location. I am confident our state and federal law enforcement partners are working hard to trace threats and doing their best to locate the person(s) responsible.”
He went on to voice his love for the City of Kiel saying, “Despite what is happening, I love our community – I live here with my family, and countless positive things happen in and around Kiel every day. In the past, when our community dealt with dark times we came together. We need to come together once again. Light will shine again.”
