A 32-year-old Manitowoc man is in custody and facing charges after firing gunshots into the air and attempting to break into a home.
Police say they received a call just after 7 a.m. this morning from a residence in the 2000 block of Johnston Drive.
They were told that he had a gun and was firing shots outside the residence.
The suspect broke into the home with the caller remaining on the line describing the suspect to authorities.
Residents from neighboring homes were temporarily displaced as The Manitowoc County SWAT Team was called in to assist in the removal of the two adults and their children safely from the home.
The male suspect was taken into custody and has been charged with Recklessly Endangering Safety and Domestic Violence.
No one was injured.
His name has not been released pending a court appearance and official charges being filed.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information that aids authorities may be eligible for a cash reward.
