While the average price per gallon of fuel rose in the state and across the country, some of the counties in our area actually leveled off a little over the past week.
In fact, Manitowoc County saw no change from this time last week, remaining at $4.86 according to the AAA Gas Prices webpage, and Sheboygan County saw a three-cent decline to $4.81.
Brown County even reported a five-cent drop to $4.78.
However, Calumet County did see a two-cent increase to $4.79, and Outagamie County’s average price per gallon went up eight cents to $4.77.
Kewaunee County reported a three-cent bump to $4.87, while Door County reported a 12-cent bump as they became the first county in the area to surpass the $5.00 average, now sitting at $5.04.
The State average also rose three cents while the National average also surpassed the $5.00 milestone, jumping ten cents to $5.01.
In the seven counties we cover, the average this week is at $4.85, which is a full $2.00 more than this week last year when the average price per gallon of gas was $2.85.
