Sixth District Congressman Glen Grothman is very unhappy with the administration of President Joe Biden and has joined several other House Republicans in protesting an administration proposal.
He told Seehafer News, “We’re very concerned that the Biden administration is giving out grants of up to $500,000 to organizations around the world who are committed to spreading atheism. It is not the government’s business, particularly a country founded so much in belief in God to spend our taxpayer dollars encouraging people around the world to become atheists. It’s hard to believe how radical the Biden administration has become.”
Grothman says this move is contrary to what the United States stands for.
The Glenbeulah Republican also said that 110,000 Americans die of drug overdoses every year, with a rising percentage due to fentanyl.
He called for the southern border to be closed and border security to be enforced.
“Over 95% of the fentanyl in this country is coming across our southern border. I’ve had some law enforcement people tell me it was 100%,” Grothman explained. “So obviously if you want to stop people from dying of fentanyl, you’ve gotta close the southern border.”
Grothman joined in a letter protesting the atheism promotion submitted by Indiana Republican Jim Banks along with several others.
