It may have taken 11 innings to do it, but the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are back in the win column.
The Appleton-based ballclub toppled the West Michigan Whitecaps 5-2 last night.
The Rattlers held a 2-1 lead entering the bottom of the 9th inning, but a sacrifice fly tied the game, forcing extra innings.
No one scored until the Wisconsin half of the 11th. Tristan Peters blasted a triple to score Joe Grey Jr. and then scored himself on a wild pitch.
Another run was knocked in by Zavier Warren, and Taylor Floyd closed out the bottom half to secure the win.
Israel Puello had another gem of an outing, as he went 7 innings allowing only one hit and one run, which was a close play at the plate.
He also struck out five batters in the process.
The two teams are back at it again this evening, with Russel Smith slated to get the start for the Rattlers.
First pitch at LMCU Ballpark is scheduled for 5:35 p.m.
